These red top batteries were designed originally to start fighter aircraft and to withstand the shock and vibrations experienced in these aircraft. The batteries are maintenance free and have high discharge capabilities. They can be mounted upright or on their sides, and will not leak acid.

BATTERY TERMINAL BOOTS
Insulate your battery terminals for safety and appearance with these terminal boots. They are molded to fit battery or alternator connections. Pull them back out of the way for battery charging. Simply slip the boot over your #4 or smaller wire before attaching the wire.

AUXILIARY BATTERY QUICK DISCONNECT (175A) 2¹/₄" x 4¹/₄"
Use the auxiliary battery connection to jump start your car rather than using the on board battery. To assemble, crimp or use solder using a propane torch to attach the wire into the terminal. The 175A terminals are fit for 1/0 wire. Wire bushings are available to reduce the wire size to #4. Slip and snap the terminal into the the connector. These connectors cannot be connected in reverse polarity. Purchase one for your car and one for your auxiliary battery. Use the connector cover to deep dirt and debris out of the connector. Finally, do not let brake clean get anywhere near these connectors! The connectors will crack and fall apart before your eyes!
