will not burn or ignite like Nomex after extended exposure to heat
or flame. Not only is CarbonX inherently nonflammable, it will
not shrink, char or crack when exposed to temperatures exceeding
3000° f for over two minutes. In fact, when exposed to extreme
flame or intense heat, CarbonX fibers / yarns expand, starving any
oxygen content, thus distributing any heat energy throughout the
fibers / yarns, not through the layers.CarbonX® yarns and fabrics
will not burn when exposed to intense heat or flame, because the
actual fibers will carbonize and then expand, eliminating any oxygen

CarbonX
performs better than any fire retardant fabric on the market for
wicking moisture from the body. In fact, CarbonX knits
wick moisture off your body with very minimal moisture retention.
The advantage of wearing multiple layers of CarbonX is perspiration
and moisture can absorb through the undergarment into the exterior
garment, resulting in rapid evaporation. Almost all fire retardant
undergarments on the market retain moisture which creates the
additional risk of burns from the moisture boiling under extreme
conditions.
