| When a rod end or spherical
bearing is not mounted inside a frame member, retained on both sides of the ball, a
captive washer is required. The large outside diameter will help retain the body of
the bearing, in case the ball would become separated from the body. The beveled
design allows the ball to rotate inside the body without binding on the washer at the head
of a bolt or at a retaining nut. |
